About this course

Physics with artificial intelligence is a degree at the meeting point of two disciplines that are increasingly interdependent. Physics provides the fundamental scientific understanding of the natural world, from quantum mechanics and electromagnetism to thermodynamics and cosmology, developing mathematical rigour and the capacity for systematic quantitative thinking that is foundational to virtually every area of science and technology. At Keele, this three-year full-time programme combines physics teaching of depth and quality with AI modules that develop your understanding of machine learning, neural networks, and data-driven approaches to scientific problems. You will study the core disciplines of physics alongside the AI and computational tools that are reshaping how physical systems are analysed and modelled. The programme includes a sandwich placement year, a year abroad, and a work placement, giving you professional and international experience alongside your academic training.
