Physics with Medical Imaging

Medical imaging enables us to see inside the human body to diagnose illness, guide treatment, and advance medical research. Alongside a strong foundation in core physics, you’ll study the principles of medical physics, human biology, and the advanced technologies behind modern imaging. You’ll study all major imaging techniques with a special focus on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and quantum-enabled brain imaging (MEG), areas where our researchers are global leaders .

This includes the pioneering work of Nobel Laureate Professor Sir Peter Mansfield, after whom our imaging centre is named. This MSci integrated master's programme offers you the chance to study areas of the subject in greater depth, pushing the boundaries of what is known.
