Plant Biology
Plant biology is the scientific study of plants, from the molecular processes that underpin photosynthesis and growth to the ecological roles that plant communities play in sustaining terrestrial ecosystems. Plants are fundamental to life on Earth; they produce the oxygen we breathe, form the base of most food chains, and their genetic diversity is the raw material from which the crop varieties of the future will be developed.
