At Leeds Beckett University, this part-time degree encourages you to question assumptions, challenge dominant narratives, and debate some of the most pressing and divisive issues facing society today. You will explore the ideas, power struggles, and political movements influencing societies around the world, examining topics including inequality, populism, global justice, environmental change, and the rise of political extremism. The programme is designed to develop critical thinking alongside the practical skills that employers value, with interactive learning, live projects, and exposure to political and professional contexts forming part of the experience.

The degree also includes the option of a year abroad, extending your perspective beyond the UK and giving you direct experience of how political questions are understood and contested in other countries.
