Psychology is the scientific study of mind, brain, and behaviour, investigating how people perceive, think, feel, learn, develop, and relate to one another. At the University of Durham, this three-year full-time degree provides a British Psychological Society-accredited route to graduate membership of the Society, the standard foundation for professional practice and postgraduate study in psychology in the UK. You will study the core areas of psychological science, including cognitive psychology, biological psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, individual differences, and research methods, building both theoretical understanding and practical research skills. A sandwich year in industry and a year abroad are both available, as are work placements, giving you the opportunity to apply your psychological knowledge in professional settings and to develop an international perspective on the discipline before you graduate.
