At Edge Hill University, this part-time programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society and develops your understanding of core psychological concepts alongside the specific knowledge and skills needed to apply psychology in educational settings. You will study how the brain supports learning and development, examining cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social influences on learning, and the psychology of individual differences. You will learn to think scientifically about educational questions and to apply psychological frameworks to understanding what helps learners thrive.

The programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placement opportunities, giving you professional experience across a range of educational and applied contexts.

The BPS accreditation means that graduates meet the requirements for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the Society, which is an important stepping stone toward further professional training.
