Robotics, autonomous and interactive systems is a discipline at the cutting edge of engineering and computer science, concerned with designing machines and software systems that can perceive their environment, make decisions and take action with varying degrees of independence. At Heriot-Watt University this five-year full-time programme provides an integrated MEng degree, combining the undergraduate and postgraduate levels into a single programme that takes you to a more advanced level of expertise than a three or four year degree alone. You will develop rigorous foundations in electronics, computing, mathematics and control engineering before specialising in robotics, autonomous systems, human-robot interaction and the software architectures that underpin intelligent machines.
