Sociology

Sociology is the scientific study of human social life: how societies are structured, how inequalities are produced and sustained, how groups and institutions interact, and how social change occurs. At Sheffield Hallam University, the BA Sociology is a part-time programme with a foundation year, sandwich year, and work placement, making it one of the most structurally comprehensive versions of this subject available and particularly accessible to students who need additional preparation or who are balancing study with other commitments.
