About this course

Sustainable process engineering addresses one of the most pressing challenges in modern industry: how to design, operate, and improve the industrial processes that produce the materials, chemicals, food, and energy that society depends on, while dramatically reducing their environmental impact. Process engineering is concerned with the design and optimisation of chemical and biological transformation processes at industrial scale. The sustainable dimension adds a rigorous focus on resource efficiency, waste minimisation, lifecycle assessment, and the transition to low-carbon and circular economy approaches.

At the University of Bradford, this four-year full-time programme begins with an integrated foundation year, providing the mathematical and scientific grounding needed before you enter the engineering degree proper.
