Therapeutic Radiography with Foundation Year

Therapeutic radiography is a healthcare profession at the forefront of cancer treatment, applying ionising radiation to treat malignant tumours with precision and in ways that minimise harm to surrounding healthy tissue. At Birmingham City University, this four-year full-time degree includes a foundation year designed to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to progress to degree-level study in allied health professions. The foundation year covers a broad range of subjects to prepare you for the scientific and clinical demands of the degree, developing practical and analytical skills alongside the academic habits that higher education requires. The main degree leads to eligibility to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a therapeutic radiographer.
