About this course

Electrical and electronic engineering is the discipline that designs and develops the systems that power and connect the modern world. Electrical engineering encompasses power generation, transmission and distribution, while electronic engineering deals with the circuits, devices and systems that process information, control physical processes and enable communication. Together they cover a spectrum of applications from renewable energy infrastructure and electric vehicles to telecommunications, embedded computing and consumer electronics.

At London South Bank University this four-year full-time programme includes a foundation year, which provides the mathematical and scientific preparation needed before you enter the full engineering degree. The foundation year is designed for students who have the potential and enthusiasm for engineering but may not yet meet the standard entry requirements, and it leads directly to the BEng (Hons) programme.
