Business management and tourism brings together the analytical and strategic dimensions of management with the specific knowledge needed to understand one of the world's largest and most complex industries. At Liverpool Hope this four-year full-time programme includes a foundation year, providing a preparatory stage before you enter the main degree. Across the programme you will study business management in depth, examining organisational dynamics, business principles, and management processes in contexts ranging from small and medium enterprises to global multinational corporations, across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. The tourism component explores the particular characteristics of the sector, including destination development, visitor experience design, the economics of hospitality, and the sustainability challenges that tourism increasingly faces.

A sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placement experience are all built into the programme, providing professional experience, international exposure, and a portfolio of practical work alongside your academic studies.

Graduates move into management roles in hotels, resorts, travel companies, destination marketing organisations, event management, and tourism consultancy. The business management grounding also opens doors in adjacent sectors, and the combination of management skills and tourism knowledge is valued by employers across the hospitality and travel industries. Many graduates also go on to postgraduate study in tourism management, hospitality management, or business.
