About University of Sunderland

The University of Sunderland is a post-1992 university in the city of Sunderland in the North East of England, with campuses in the city itself and a London campus in Canary Wharf. It has a strong commitment to widening participation and to serving the educational needs of a region with historically lower rates of higher education progression.

Sunderland has well-established programmes in pharmacy, nursing and midwifery, business, computing, media, and automotive engineering, the latter reflecting the region's manufacturing base including the Nissan plant. The pharmacy school is one of its most recognised. Students at the Sunderland campus enjoy a relatively low cost of living and a close-knit campus community.
