Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Educational Support Assistant
In this entry-level role, you will assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing support to students, particularly those with additional needs.
Mid-Level Educational Support Assistant
At this stage, you will take on more responsibilities, including developing IEPs and leading small group sessions.
Senior Educational Support Assistant
In a senior role, you will oversee support staff, coordinate with educational professionals, and lead initiatives to improve student outcomes.
