Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Falconer
As a Junior Falconer, you will assist in the daily care and training of birds, learning from experienced falconers and gaining hands-on experience.
Mid-Level Falconer
In this role, you will take on more responsibility for training and caring for birds, as well as leading educational sessions and events.
Senior Falconer
As a Senior Falconer, you will oversee operations, mentor junior staff, and develop conservation programmes, making a significant impact in the field.
