Is this the only route?

University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Groundsman
As a Junior Groundsman, you will assist in the maintenance of sports pitches and green spaces, gaining hands-on experience in mowing, fertilising, and basic landscaping tasks.
Mid-Level Greenkeeper
In this role, you will take on more responsibilities, including managing a team and overseeing the maintenance of larger areas, while implementing sustainable practices.
Senior Grounds Manager
As a Senior Grounds Manager, you will lead a team, develop maintenance programmes, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of turf management.
