Career Progression Path
Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Marquee Erector
In this entry-level position, you will assist experienced erectors in setting up and dismantling marquees. You will learn the ropes of the industry, including equipment handling and client interaction.
Mid-Level Marquee Erector
As a mid-level erector, you will take on more responsibility, leading teams on-site and managing client relationships. Your expertise will ensure that installations are completed efficiently and safely.
Senior Marquee Erector
In a senior role, you will oversee multiple projects, manage a team of erectors, and liaise with clients to ensure their vision is realised. Your leadership will be key to the success of large-scale events.
