Career Progression Path
Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Nursing Professional
At the entry level, you will assist in providing patient care under the supervision of senior staff, gaining valuable experience in various nursing practices.
Mid-Level Nursing Professional
In a mid-level role, you will take on more responsibility, leading care teams and mentoring junior staff while managing complex patient cases.
Senior Nursing Professional
As a senior professional, you will oversee nursing operations, develop policies, and drive improvements in patient care quality across your organisation.
