Is this the only route?

University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Sail Maker
In this entry-level position, you will assist experienced sail makers in the production and repair of sails. You will learn the fundamentals of sail design and construction while gaining hands-on experience in the workshop.
Mid-Level Sail Maker
As a mid-level sail maker, you will take on more complex projects, working independently to design and create sails. You will also mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of innovative sail designs.
Senior Sail Maker
In a senior role, you will lead projects, manage a team of sail makers, and drive innovation within the company. You will be responsible for high-profile clients and may also engage in business development activities.
