Junior Science Communicator
In this entry-level role, you will assist in creating content and supporting outreach initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience in writing, editing, and public engagement.
Mid-level Science Communicator
At this stage, you will take on more responsibility, leading projects and developing communication strategies. You will work closely with scientists and stakeholders to ensure effective messaging.
Senior Science Communicator/Head of Communications
In a senior role, you will oversee communication strategies for large organisations or initiatives. You will mentor junior staff and represent your organisation at high-profile events.
Apprenticeships & Direct Entry
You can often bypass traditional university degrees by earning while you learn. The UK government heavily funds Degree-level and Advanced level Apprenticeships for science communicators.
