Career Progression Path
Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Sculptor
As a Junior Sculptor, you will assist in the creation of sculptures, learning techniques and gaining experience in material selection and project management.
Mid-Level Sculptor
In this role, you will take on more complex projects, manage client relationships, and begin to establish your own artistic voice within the industry.
Senior Sculptor
As a Senior Sculptor, you will lead major projects, mentor junior artists, and have a significant presence in the art community, often exhibiting your work in prestigious galleries.
