Career Progression Path
Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Influencer
As a junior influencer, you will start by building your personal brand and gaining experience in content creation. This stage involves experimenting with different types of content and engaging with your audience to understand their preferences.
Mid-Level Influencer
At this level, you will have established a solid following and will be actively collaborating with brands. You will focus on refining your content strategy and exploring new opportunities for growth and monetisation.
Senior Influencer
As a senior influencer, you will be a recognised figure in your niche, commanding higher fees for collaborations. You will lead campaigns, mentor junior influencers, and potentially expand your brand into other ventures such as merchandise or events.
