Career Progression Path
Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Telephone Salesperson
In this entry-level role, you will learn the basics of telephone sales, including how to engage customers and handle objections. Training will be provided to develop your communication skills and product knowledge.
Mid-Level Telephone Sales Executive
At this stage, you will take on more responsibility, managing your own client portfolio and developing strategies to meet sales targets. Your ability to analyse customer data and feedback will be crucial in refining your approach.
Senior Sales Manager
In a senior role, you will lead a team of salespeople, setting targets and developing training programmes. Your strategic vision will drive the sales strategy, and you will be responsible for significant revenue generation.
