Through flight experiments, design projects and advanced engineering study, this course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to shape the future of flight and meet the global challenges facing aviation today and in the years ahead. You’ll study topics such as Aircraft Systems, Performance and Design, Sensor Fusion, Machine Intelligence, Noise Control, and Computational Fluid Dynamics, all grounded in core engineering principles. This mix of technical expertise and creative problem-solving opens doors to many industries, including aerospace, automotive, energy, and technology. Practical learning is a key part of the course. You’ll take part in a flight test module that includes up to four flights in a specially equipped aircraft with a flying laboratory. You’ll also learn how to apply engineering theory by designing aircraft systems and gas turbines, and in your final year, you’ll join a team to design an aircraft of the future while completing your own research project focused on solving
