About this course

Mechatronics and robotics engineering is the discipline that brings together mechanical engineering, electronics, computer science and control systems to design and build intelligent machines. Robots, automated manufacturing systems, autonomous vehicles, medical devices, drones and the rapidly growing family of smart systems that are transforming industry all rely on the integration of these four disciplines, and mechatronics engineers are the people who understand how to make that integration work. It is a field at the frontier of engineering practice, where the boundaries between hardware and software, physical and digital systems are dissolving. This three-year full-time degree at Middlesex University includes a foundation year and a sandwich year with a work placement. The foundation year provides the mathematical, scientific and engineering foundations needed before you progress to
