The role

As a Quality Control Engineer, you make sure products are safe and do what they're supposed to do. Every day you inspect things, run tests, and look for problems before anyone buys them.

You will use testing equipment and tools to measure and check products. Some days you might test a batch of pills to make sure they're the right strength, or examine car parts to see they're made properly. You write down what you find, look for patterns in the data, and tell people what needs to be fixed. You might also help train other staff on what to check for and why it matters. The work is careful and methodical - small mistakes matter, because products need to be safe and reliable.

Daily responsibilities

  • Conduct rigorous testing and inspections on materials and products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues in real-time.
  • Analyze data from quality tests and inspections to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on quality metrics and compliance for stakeholders.
  • Train staff on quality standards and procedures to foster a culture of quality within the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and advancements in quality control technology.
