About this course
Management is the discipline concerned with how organisations function and how the people within them can be led, coordinated and motivated to achieve collective goals. It is a broad field that encompasses strategy, finance, marketing, operations, human resources, organisational behaviour and leadership, drawing on economics, psychology, sociology and quantitative methods to understand how organisations operate and how they can operate better. At Robert Gordon University, the four-year full-time BA (Hons) Business and Management provides a thorough grounding in the nature and context of business and the principal management functions. You will study strategy and competitive advantage, financial management, marketing, supply chain and operations, leadership and the management of people, developing both the theoretical understanding and the practical skills that management roles require.
