Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest and most fundamental engineering disciplines, concerned with the design, analysis, and manufacture of mechanical systems from the smallest precision components to large-scale industrial machinery. It applies the principles of physics, thermodynamics, materials science, and dynamics to understand how things move and how energy is converted from one form to another.
