About this course
Computing is a discipline that encompasses both the theoretical foundations of information processing and the practical skills of building the software and systems that run the modern world. From algorithms and data structures to software engineering, artificial intelligence, networks, and cybersecurity, a computing degree gives you a comprehensive understanding of how computers work and how they can be made to do useful things. The field moves quickly, which means learning how to learn, not just how to code, is central to what the degree develops. At Edinburgh Napier this four-year full-time degree covers the core of the discipline and allows you to develop increasing specialism as the programme progresses. You will learn to programme in multiple languages, design and evaluate systems, manage software projects, and engage with the ethical and social dimensions of technology. A sandwich
