About this course
Digital media and information studies sits at the point where technology, culture and society intersect, examining how digital content is created, distributed, used and made meaningful by people and institutions. It brings a distinctly human perspective to the questions of the digital age: how does information shape what we know and believe, how do platforms influence public discourse, and what does it mean to participate in digital culture as a creator, a consumer or a citizen? French, paired with this, opens a different kind of understanding, both linguistic and cultural, connecting you to one of the world's great intellectual and artistic traditions and to the contemporary French-speaking world across Europe, Africa and beyond. At the University of Glasgow, this five-year full-time programme includes a sandwich placement year and a work placement, integrating professional experience
